Reframe Brings Robotics, Modular Designs to Residential Construction

Reframe Systems has been named one of ApartmentBuildings.com’s 2026 AB 100 Innovators of the Year, recognizing our work with Cabot, Cabot & Forbes at The Bolt, a 180,000-square-foot innovation and manufacturing center under construction in Woburn, MA.

For the project, we delivered and installed a 554-square-foot unit to serve as CC&F’s on-site sales and leasing office through construction, expected to wrap in the second quarter of 2027. Designed as a full-scale prototype of The Bolt, the unit mirrors the main building’s metal panels, window colors, and finishes, giving CC&F a “mini-me” of the larger project. Inside, a conference room, kitchenette, bathroom, and flexible office or bedroom space let the team test materials, workflows, and finishes before scaling construction.

Once The Bolt reaches occupancy, the unit will be repurposed as an accessory dwelling unit, turning a temporary sales office into permanent housing. It’s one example of how our robotics-driven modular approach can serve commercial developers and add to the housing supply in the same build.
