Robotics & Automation News highlights Reframe Systems’ 2025 Ivory Prize for Housing Affordability in Construction & Design, recognizing solutions that are both scalable and feasible in addressing housing supply constraints. Our approach combines localized microfactories with automation to produce homes closer to where they’re needed, reducing construction timelines and overall costs while adapting to local conditions.
The recognition reflects the strength of a model designed to replicate across markets, not as a single facility, but as a distributed system that can scale with demand. We’re building toward a path that cuts timelines by more than half and reduces costs by up to 35 percent compared to conventional construction, while delivering high-performance homes designed for long-term resilience. As Vikas shared, solving the housing shortage requires more than incremental change, it requires a fundamentally better way to build.
