Zivid: Reframe Systems, Integrating 3D Vision for Advanced Robotic Construction

ZIVID

In this detailed look at the technical infrastructure behind our microfactory model, Zivid walks through how we use robotics to accelerate automation for dirty, dull, and dangerous tasks, allowing our build teams to focus on work that benefits most from human dexterity, judgment, and craftsmanship. Our robotic workcell combines the Zivid 2L100 camera with a patent-pending universal magnetic mounting surface, creating a flexible foundation for wall panel framing, sheathing, and future production tasks. In a construction environment shaped by natural materials, dust, vibration, and tight tolerances, 3D vision helps the robot identify lumber, determine pick poses, and support more accurate assembly. Using advanced technology at each step of the process is how we’re building toward more efficient and resilient housing production.
